We’re Sylvia and Steve, the husband-and-wife team behind Barking Moon. Our mission is simple: to bring the beauty, wisdom, and everyday magick of crystals and the metaphysical world right to you — wherever you are.

 

We carefully curate quality crystals, intentional tools, and apothecary items designed to bring a little (or a lot) of magick into your life. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been walking this path for years, we’re honored to be part of it.

 

 

 

 

Sylvia’s Story

 

 

I’ve felt connected to the metaphysical world for as long as I can remember. I’ve always seen magick in everything — in the trees, the birds, the water, even in a single leaf drifting down on a cool autumn evening. As a child, I collected “pretty” rocks from the garden. In my early teens, I discovered crystals — and something clicked.

 

What started as fascination became passion. What began as curiosity became study.

 

Over the years, I’ve trained under incredible teachers including Dr. Athena Perrakis, Hibiscus Moon, and Ahtayaa Leigh, earning certifications in the areas that light me up most. Education, ethics, and integrity matter deeply to me — and I bring that foundation into everything we offer.

 

 

 

 

Steve — The Crystal Guy

 

 

Steve is retired from the police department and holds a MBA in Business. He’s also an avid crystal collector with a serious eye for quality. His first love is Amethyst (though Labradorite is a very close second).

 

Beyond sourcing and supporting the business side of Barking Moon, he is hands-down the best Furkid Dad around. Our home is filled with spoiled rescue dogs and cats — and chances are, you’ll see one (or three) or maybe more  making surprise appearances during our live shows.
